Commonly Asked Questions:

What is the point of a table runner?

Although they offer an aesthetically pleasing addition to your dining area, they also have many practical qualities: Food and beverages tend to be placed on the table runner, which will prevent staining. They also protect tables from heat damage caused by hot dishes.

Should a table runner hang over the end of the table?

Ideally, it should hang at least six inches over each end of your table, but shouldn’t hang further than your tablecloth. For example, if your table is 60 inches long, your table runner should be at least 72 inches long, allowing for six inches at either end of the table.

Is it okay to put a table runner over a tablecloth?

Yes, you can use a table runner without a tablecloth. Table runners can be great when placed above a tablecloth, or you can use a table runner on it’s own!
