Hi, I’m Chelsie! I have been an elementary teacher for over 12 years! Teaching gives me so much joy! I love the process of finding the craft I want to create, learning ALL about it, practicing, and improving the skills until finally, it feels like second nature. When you can create the finished items it is so FUN and the sense of accomplishment is great!
Some of my favorites are quilting, hand sewing, knitting, baking, clay projects, and any other crafts that spark my interest! I can’t wait to share with you all of the things I have learned!
Why I created The Makers Club
The Makers Club was born from my passion for learning! I have spent my adulthood learning a variety of crafts from quilting, knitting, hand sewing, machine sewing, clay crafts, and more. I have spent countless hours building these skills over the years, and I want to share with you what I have learned so you don’t have to spend your time searching. You can jump right in and start the new hobby you have been putting off. The Makers Club is your one-stop shop to find the peace you are looking for in crafting.
The Makers Club is a place where makers from all levels can enjoy a variety of crafts and learn skills that will grow with them and last a lifetime.
If you are anything like me and have many interests it can be hard to find ways to relax and relieve stress in a way that is enriching and beneficial, not in a binge-watching/scrolling sort of way which always leaves me feeling worse than before. The Makers Club is designed to keep crafters of all levels consistently engaged and keep you from jumping from platform to platform. Whether you want to knit, sew, tackle an art project, or work with clay, there are even kids’ projects inside if you want to include the whole family! There’s always something exciting to explore. My goal is to help you relax from the stressors of life while enjoying a variety of creative activities.
I never realized that the benefits of crafting went beyond having a finished product to wear, use, or display in my home, but soon into my journey, I found that there was a lot more to crafting than that. I find that my scattered thoughts are more focused, my anxiety lowers, and I can think more clearly when I find the time to craft each day. Crafting has become an exciting and integral part of my self-care routine.
